Director (Russian)

Our client is an international Investment Holding Company with offices in the UK, Russia, Montenegro, Germany and Cyprus are looking to hire a Director (Russian) to head up and manage their offices here in Limassol. 

A privately held group of companies owning various assets (real estate, hotels and PV solar plants) in Russia, EU and Montenegro is looking for an independent Director for its CY holding company to represent the Company in front of business partners, set up an operating office in CY, provide day-to-day administrative support to CY companies of the group and participate in the existing businesses of the Company 

Reporting to the CEO, Chief Legal Counsel of the group and other senior staff members (all based outside of CY) the position will be responsible for: 

Managing the Company: 

Executing documents on behalf of the Company 

Ensuring compliance of the Company’s activities with local legislation 

Ensuring preparation of corporate decisions and monitoring their execution 

Participation in decision making on the matters related to the Company and its projects 

Coordinating Company’s providers (accountants, corporate secretary, auditors, lawyers, consultants, etc) 

Ensuring timely preparation and submission of FS and tax returns (including coordination of accountants and auditors of the Company) 

Establishing contacts with CY tax and other authorities 

Preparing Company’s budgets (with the assistance of accountants or internal financial controller) and their execution 

Obtaining Company’s certificates and other corporate documents 

Searching and hiring employees (financial controller, office administrator, other if required) and managing them 

Searching for office space for the Company and setting up the office 

Regular reporting to senior group members 

Searching for potential investment projects in Cyprus 

Managing Company’s projects: 

Understanding and having knowledge of the Company’s projects 

Administrative support of the Company’s transactions 

Direct communication with managing directors of Company’s subsidiaries in RU, MNE, Germany and Czech Republic and their project teams on selected matters 

The successful candidate will have/be: 


Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics or other reasonably applicable spheres 

Past employment experience: 

Minimum 5 years of professional experience 

Minimum 2 years of experience as a director, corporate secretary or at a similar position in an independent company in Cyprus or an administrative company providing nominee services in Cyprus 

Preferably understanding and experience in dealing with commercial real estate and alternative energy projects 

Experience in Big 4 companies is welcomed 

Other requirements: 

Resident of CY 

Resident of EU countries could be considered in case candidate is residing in CY or is willing to move to CY and have a place to live there 

Does not hold (or shall cease to hold) executive position (including nominee position) in any other ompanies (candidate holding such a position in several companies could be considered on a case by case basis, depending on his/her profile) 

Key knowledge and skills required for this position: 

Good knowledge of CY corporate law and practice, experience in dealing with the Registrar of Companies and other local authorities 

Obligatory language skills: English (proficient) and Russian 

Basic knowledge of IFRS and CY tax law 

Ability to undertake responsibility and provide practical solutions 

Attention to details 

Ability to work independently 


Good knowledge of finance 

Project management experience 

Good knowledge of company’s administration 

Foreign languages knowledge: 



Technical skills: 

Demonstrable computer literacy with specific ability to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google tools and other software.

Working schedule: 10:00 – 19:00 and overtime as may be required
