Field Fiber Operations and Maintenance Engineer
Epic is expanding and seeking to recruit Field Fiber Operations and Maintenance Engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out all maintenance works concerning mainly the Fiber networks but also the wireless
- Executing preventive maintenance visits and solving any alarms at all the epic network sites
- Keeping the radio network, optical network, transmissions network operating in high level of quality performance and safety rules
- Performing Work Orders and executing activities for the expansion/modernization of the existing wireless and Fiber networks
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- University degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Member of ETEK or eligible to be, EMS Cyprus (HMY) License (Electrician and/or Maintenance)
- Up to 5 years’ experience in the telecommunications or a similar field
- Knowledge in the field of mobile (2G, 3G, 4G) and transmission (microwave and Fiber) technologies
- Knowledge in the field of electromechanical equipment (ATS, Control Panels, generators and A/C’s).
- Knowledge in the field of optical systems maintenance (OTDR, Power testing, Splicing)
- Good knowledge in the maintenance of Electrical Installations
- Good computer skills (MS office, Windows)
- Fluent written and spoken Greek and English
- Good Physical Condition /Able to transfer heavy loads (30kg)
- Working at Height is required (50m towers, rooftops, etc) – (No certificate required at this point)
- Manual Transmission Driving License
