CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Investment Firm with business interests in both Cyprus and abroad, we are seeking to recruit a Head of Legal Affairs to join their expanding team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will hold a minimum of 7+ years of post-qualification experience in Corporate & Commercial Law. Any hands-on experience of working with or for CySEC and/or FCA regulated entities will be considered an advantage.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with external UK and Cyprus solicitors.
  • Analyse and identify legal risks and implications.
  • Devise creative and practical legal solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Analyse legal issues relating to investment products.
  • Participate in firm’s conferences and events in Cyprus and abroad.
  • Oversee Cyprus and UK Real Estate investments from a legal perspective.
  • Oversee UK financing operations from a legal perspective.
  • Handle Regulatory Compliance requirements as and when required.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Educated to degree level in Law or related field.
  • Member of a relevant legal body (Cyprus Bar, UK Solicitor etc).
  • 7+ years of demonstrable, in-depth experience in the areas of Corporate & Commercial Law is a must.
  • Excellent leadership and people Management skills.
  • Previous legal experience working with or for a CySEC and/or FCA regulated entity will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English are essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to multi-task.
